However, there is a growing recognition that successful city bus operations also depend on the quality of support infrastructure.

Workshop participants discuss ways to make city the "cycling capital of India"

Local authorities in Bangalore announced their commitment to bicycling and walking at a Cycling Inclusive Planning Workshop, held on January 31.

The goal was to find sustainable cycling solutions to combat congestion and traffic accidents, as well as health problems, like asthma and other cardiorespiratory diseases, associated with high pollution levels.
